A TRIBUTE TO THE ORIGINAL B-BOYS...

Mictag - Pass the Mic would like to give tribute to the original B-Boys - Mike D, Ad Rock, and MCA.  These boys are an inspiration to the pass the mic era. The Beastie Boys are best known for their originality and have been breaking it down with original tracks for years giving inspiration to all.

I would also like to give my condolences to MCA and my heart goes out to family, friends and fans.  You will truly be missed by all and your legacy will forever live on through your music and in our hearts! RIP Beastie...

In recent news Michael Diamond (Mike D) and Adam Horovitz (Ad-Rock) of the Beastie Boys will tell the story of their hip-hop group in a yet-to-be-titled "multidimensional" book due out in 2015 from Random House's imprint Spiegel & Grau (the publisher of Jay-Z's Decoded).

With social media networks “working for us" we are effortlessly able to reach out and connect to the world of exposure in an instant with a click of a button. Naturally as we submit to message boards, status update feeds, photo galleries, video channels, and audio pod cast as a whole we continue to expand and expose ourselves at a more rapid rate than ever before.

The goal for Mictag - Pass the Mic and the way we vision the industry in the next 10 years is that of a more cultured generation of raw and uncut talent will emerge and collaborate on a level playing field with other "big time" artist and labels through social media app entertainment.

With Mictag - Pass the Mic it's users can add melodies and meaning to their messages.  They can express themselves by passing the mic to share the melody and message with others. This may sound impracticable and only happen in the movies and on TV shows like Glee, but I think as we evolve socially we will continue to seek alternative ways to communicate and express ourselves.

Mictag's - Pass the Mic Application is a platform for the next generation of social media artist to express themselves vocally. This app will give it's users an outlet to communicate with passion by adding instrumental beats, recording messages with meaning, and passing the mic to share and promote.

The idea is to help undiscovered talent emerge out from underground without having to be produced by some big time record label.  With technology and the internet, who really needs money sucking producers anyway?  Similar to Youtube, Soundcloud, and other social media entertainment sites we plan to focus our mission solely on discovering raw and uncut talent while having fun with it.
